Open Limited Hours to Browse the Collection
Mattapoisett Free Public Library is reopening for browsing and limited services!
Anyone wishing to browse, pick up holds, use the upstairs computers, or get quick reference help can come in during our hours that we are open to the public -- just check in at a circulation desk to let us know you are here. At this time we ask that patrons limit their browsing time to no more than an hour. No food or drink is allowed in the building. Please note that much of the seating will not be available and in depth reference questions are best sent to email or asked via phone. Computer users will be limited to 60 minutes as well; special arrangements for more time can be made on a case by case basis but not guaranteed.
The library will be open to public for browsing on the following dates and times:
Tuesdays from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Wednesdays from 10 am to 8 pm (All day).
Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m (All day)
Sundays from 1 pm to 4 pm (All day).
All materials being returned will go into the book drops as usual. No returns inside.
The library will still offer no contact side door pickup upon request.
Please call the library to schedule curbside pick up appointment.
Properly worn masks are required while in the library and patrons should expect to check in and check out at the circulation desk. Hand sanitizer stations are located throughout the library and patrons should sanitize hands upon arrival. The library is holding contact information for a short period of time in case of the need for contact tracing. If you have any questions about these procedures, please email the library director, Jennifer Jones, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
