Gifts and Donations

Charitable Gifts to the Mattapoisett Free Public Library

If you would like to make a charitable donation to the library, please make a check payable to the Mattapoisett Library Trust and send your gift to:
Mattapoisett Free Public Library
P. O. Box 475, Mattapoisett, MA 02739.
If your gift is in memory of or to honor someone, please enclose a note or a message on the Notes or Memo line of your check.

The library accepts donations of gently used books, DVDs and books-on-CD for the Friends of the Mattapoisett Library for their book sales. Proceeds of these sales go directly to benefit library programs and the purchase of museum passes. Donations should be in good condition, free of dust and odor, and without a lot of markings. We do not take textbooks, VHS, cassettes, DVDs and CDs, anything with water damage, and anything with mold.

The library can also make good use of craft supplies, paper, knitting supplies, and other office supplies.

As a repository for local history materials, the library staff gratefully accepts materials related to Mattapoisett history, local families and businesses. Please contact the Library Director, Colleen Tierney to make arrangements for gifts of this kind.  Permanent loans and other terms are also possible.
